MS & FCPS Courses – National Institute of ENT
The National Institute of ENT offers Master of Surgery (MS) and Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) programs, designed to train specialist doctors through advanced otolaryngology (ENT) education. These structured courses provide academic learning, clinical training, and surgical skill enhancement.
MS Course (MS in ENT)
- Every year, 6 students get the opportunity to enroll in the MS course through the admission exam under BMU.
- Currently, the 5th batch is ongoing, with three batches having completed Phase A and now pursuing Phase B.
- The curriculum includes theoretical knowledge, hands-on training, and research activities to develop future ENT specialists.
FCPS Course (FCPS in ENT)
- Students undergo FCPS (ENT) training, gaining expertise in various ENT sub-specialties.
- This institute serves as an MCPS (Membership of the College of Physicians and Surgeons) and FCPS (Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons) examination center, ensuring regular training and assessments.
Regular Academic Activities
To ensure high-quality education and training, the following academic activities are conducted regularly:
- CME (Continuing Medical Education): Held every Tuesday, covering new research and updated medical knowledge in ENT.
- Journal Club: Conducted every alternate Thursday, where students analyze and discuss various medical research papers.
- Tumor Board Meeting: Held every Sunday, focusing on discussions among specialists regarding head and neck tumor cases.
- Otology Clinic: Conducted every Tuesday, providing training on ear-related diseases and surgical procedures.
- MS & FCPS Examination Preparation: Regular classes and assessments are held to ensure students are well-prepared for their final evaluations.
