The Audiology Department of the National Institute of ENT (NIENT) plays a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating individuals with hearing and balance disorders.
✅ Hearing Assessment
Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA): Evaluates hearing sensitivity.
Tympanometry & Acoustic Reflex Testing: Assesses middle ear function.
Otoacoustic Emission (OAE): Used for newborn hearing screening and cochlear function evaluation.
Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry (BERA): Helps diagnose hearing issues in infants and unconscious patients.
✅ Cochlear Implant Program
Provides cochlear implant surgery for individuals with profound hearing loss.
Includes patient selection, testing, surgery, and post-operative Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) for rehabilitation.
Since September 17, 2018, until March 5, 2025, a total of 543 cochlear implant surgeries have been successfully completed.
A total of 521 patients have completed Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) after cochlear implant surgery.

Provides modern digital hearing aids for patients with hearing impairments.
Ensures proper hearing aid fitting and training for effective use.
✅ Balance & Dizziness Clinic
Diagnoses and treats balance disorders using Videonystagmography (VNG) and other advanced tests.
Conducts training workshops and research activities for audiologists and medical professionals.
Provides counseling and rehabilitation services for individuals with hearing and balance disorders.
